Revenue potential study in Afar Regional State

The Macroeconomic Division is currently undertaking a collaborative study with the Afar Regional State Bureau of Finance and Economic Development on the revenue potential and gap in the Regional state. The study began in 2017 and is expected to be completed by the summer of 2018

Revenue potential study in Southern Nations Nationalities and People Regional State

This study is being undertaken in collaboration with the Ethiopian Economic Association, the Revenue Authority of the SNNPR, and Hawassa University. The study aims at estimating the revenue potential and gap in the Regional State and builds the capacity of experts in the Revenue Authority as well as researchers in Hawassa University. The study has been conducted since 2016 and is expected to be finalized during the summer of 2017.  

Price Volatility and Food Security

This project is being conducted in collaboration with the Center for Development Studies (ZEF) of Bonn University, Germany. It aims at researching the early warning practices in Ethiopia in addressing food security issues. The study has been conducted since 2016 and is expected to be finalized during the summer of 2017.  

Early labor market transitions for women in low income African economies

This is a collaborative study with Sussex University, IDRC – Canada, and experts from Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. EEA is tasked with undertaking the Ethiopian case study. The research began in 2015 and is scheduled to be completed in around September 2017.
